Poll: What 12 Players Should USA Basketball Bring To The FIBA World Championships?

USA Basketball held an intra-squad showcase last night in Las Vegas. The play was a bit sloppy to say the least, but it was a good way for Team USA coaches Mike Krzyzewski, Jim Boeheim, Mike D'Antoni, Nate McMillan and Managing Director Jerry Colangelo to make roster evaluations. There's currently 19 players on the roster that needs to be chopped down to 12 for the FIBA World Championships in late August. Which 12 players do you think should represent the USA at the World Championships (multiple answered allowed)?

  1. I got down to the end and had to pick between Rose and McGee… I picked McGee. We have a crazy amount of PG's and not enough size.

  2. McGee is actually looking good right now. He's got a couple of dual autos with Batum that I'm thinking about getting now.

But really, without the bigger names, we still have a ton of talent at our disposal.

  3. Those McGee cards are going to be hot as McGee becomes a house hold name in the sport and hobby. Def prospect those asap. I def agree G, we have a lot of nice talent even without the big superstars playing. It will all be about how well Coach K can get them to play together.

  4. You are idiot if you think it comes down to Rose and McGee. Rose is the best pg on the team. Rondo has no jumper, Westbrook is out of control and Chauncey is up there in age. Do you even watch basketball?

  5. hahaha, Rose maybe the best pg physically, but he can't shoot the ball. It's been reported that he has improved his jumper, but I have not seen that yet as I do not work for the C. Bulls. Rondo plays better D, Chauncey maybe up in age, but that doesn't mean anything. He would still be the best pg on that team and provide leadership to a very young team.

I get what you mean about Westbrook and I could see Rose over Westbrook no problem. The spot where Team USA has the least amount of talent though is up front at center. I looked at it from the perspective of needs. We don't need 5 pg's. We do need at least 2 centers. I would like to win games, not Star Search.
